"An Ode To True Workwear" by Nick Maggio

After I posted my own open love letter to the white tee, Nick hit me up with a link to the Falcon Motorcycles blog.  Upon opening the link I was greeted with a little bit of poetry musing on the truest of true workwear.  I hope you guys enjoy this clever ditty by a clever fellow.  Peep the original post and the rest of Falcon Motorcycles pretty gnarly blog.

"AN OVERLOOKED PIECE AN OVERSHADOWED MUST
NO OTHER ARTICLE BESTOWED WITH SUCH RESPECT SUCH TRUST...

THROUGH THE WARS THE MINES THE SHOPS THE CORP
NONE GARMENT SPOKEN ABOUT LESS AT ANY MEN'S STORE

THE HARD WORK IN YARDS ON CARS PLANES OR TRAINS
REST ASSURED SOLACE IS FOUND IN EVERY PACK OF FRESH HANES

ITS SIMPLE ELEGANCE TRANSCENDS TIME AND YEARS
ITS WHITES MADE WHITER WITH GENERATIONS OF BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS

FROM MCQUEEN TO BRONSON TO PRESIDENTS THE SAME
A SHIRT THAT NEVER PUSHES FOR RESPECT OR FOR FAME

THOUGH PRESENT ON D-DAYS WHEN WARS WON FLAGS PLANTED
IT SITS IN THE SHADOWS TAKEN FOR GRANTED

SO TAKE A LOOK, RESPECT WHERE RESPECT'S DUE
A NOD A SALUTE TO THE OLD TRIED AND TRUE

AS CERTAIN AS DEATH FADS COME, TRENDS FLEE
BUT NO WAY IN HELL I'M GOING WRONG WITH MY PLAIN WHITE TEE"

  5. "An Ode To True Workwear" celebrates not just the look, but the ethos behind these pieces: their enduring quality, utility, and the pride of wearing something built to last. For those passionate about fashion with purpose, this blog is a must-read tribute to the intersection of style and hard work.
