Patrik And The Wallows
Nope, not some lame Brit pop band, but a designer giving shine to quite possibly my favorite shoes of all time. If you've hit up Patrik Ervell's new, much hyped website you've most surely seen his use of Clarks Wallabees to anchor some of his looks. He's been pushing these classics hard since his S/S 2010 show and I couldn't agree with the guy more. If you're looking for that perfect pair of shoes to pair with chinos, shorts, socks, no socks, etc. look no further my friends.

I still don't think wallabes will ever be for me, but this post has helped me better understand them...
ReplyDeletefuck yes patrik ervell is the man who learnt me to love wallabees. his collab with them for ss 10 was crazy - he dyed the colour of the suede by stapling them with rusty staples. lol. that collection he had a rusted shirt as well. http://slamxhype.com/fashion/clarks-wallabees-x-patrik-ervell/ ervell does some conceptual/avant garde(is french for bullshit)/high fashunz type stuff but pretty much keeps it real. by fashion standards anyway.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple pairs of wallabees but I feel like douche bags ruined them for me. Love the shoe but I hate the taste they have left in my mouth.
