I know you've seen a lot of these before, but let this just be a friendly reminder when looking for a new pair of shades it's hard to go wrong with a shaped nose piece - and, no, that is not the official term.

[Editor's Note: The official term is called a keyhole for people trying to keep their semantics tight.]

I call it a keyhole. Have you seen the Allyn Scura Legends? I'm thinking of getting a pair, at $175 cheaper than the similar Moscot or Geller; http://www.allynscura.com/originaldesigns_index.htm > Mid-Century > Legend
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it's called a keyhole. And this is called a bunch of cool sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteits a shame none of these fit my face correctly
ReplyDeleteNicolas & Greg- Right, right...keyhole. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a buyer's guide, but for anyone who wants to know, starting from the top:
ReplyDeleteOakley Frogskins
Persol 714
Persol 806
Persol 649
Oakley 4140
Moscot Lemtosh
Oliver Peoples
I'm definitely feelin' the 649 model.
ReplyDeleteIs there a reason the Ray-Bans weren't listed? I'd like to purchase a pair of those...
ReplyDeleteWes- They were I just made a typo above, they are the Rayban 4140, not Oakley. My bad on that.
ReplyDeleteAny idea what the last two are?
ReplyDeleteThanks

ReplyDeleteI keep looking at these Barton Perreira Baldwins, they fit in with these but the honey frame and green lens is a good play. Polarized to boot.
The nose pieces are different looking on these sunglasses. I'm not sure if I like them or not. Does anyone know if they're comfortable?
