An American brand makes a traditional English shoe in Italy. I'll be sure to let you guys know how these bastard brogues hold up as there have been some questions regarding RL's shoe quality.

(no bromo) Allen Edmonds.
Tommy- Interesting comparison of the age old debate regarding toe shapes...
ReplyDeleteDid you get those in the recent Gilt sale? Not a fan of rubber-ish soles, but we'll see how your long-term test plays out.
ReplyDeleteHemanth- I was on the Gilt waitlist for a couple different RL shoes and bought these and the double monks. The soles are leather (with some rubber) and don't look cheap at all in person.
ReplyDeleteThe quality of Ralph's "made in Italy" shoes leave something to be desired.... I bought a pair off Gilt too, and I think the leather looks cheap. Ralph's Crockett & Jones (England) are much sounder.
ReplyDeleteIs that the Albin?
ReplyDeleteAnon @8:43- Yessir.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I wanted to get these from the gilt sale. They were gone after 5 mins.
ReplyDeleteYou had the brew, someone else had the chronic, and well, I kept it classy and had the juice.
ReplyDeleteThe juice wins
ReplyDeleteLooking good from up here. I'd prefer a rounder toe though.
ReplyDeleteFashionable footwear, like a retro man haha
