Attn: Epaulet Chinos

Slim fitting chinos are easily one of the hardest essentials to find.  A handful of brands are making them, but finding the perfect pair for you is an often arduous process, but a process whose payoff is well worth it.  Brookyln's own Epaulet is entering the slim chino fray starting tomorrow when both their British khaki and navy chinos go on sale.  The asking price is $135 and the pants come with some killer details.  The chinos are made in L.A. from UK cotton twill and feature a slim fit with a "medium-low" rise.  Inside seams are taped with herringbone cotton and the hidden coin pocket is deep enough to actually serve a real purpose - it can hold a credit card and some monies.  If you're still searching for that pair of chinos to end all pairs of chinos (and any good pair should) you would be doing yourself a disservice to at least not consider Epaulet's new steeze.

  1. Appreciate the heads-up. These are dope. Any suggestions for a slim chino that I can cop for under $75.00?

I really appreciate what you do.

  2. Not a fan of these at all. The med-low rise looks absurd. Are those slash/riding pockets? Hard to tell in the pictures.

  3. I like all the details on these chinos but I don't think they'd qualify as a perfect pair for me. The rise is just too low for chinos, or even jeans for that matter.

As for the $75 slim chino question, I think its a no brainer that you check out J.Crews Classic fit or Urban Slim fit for around $65.

  6. Interesting choice of model. I thought they might go with a slimmer guy to go with slim chinos. More of a normal guy fit I guess. Other than the contrast inside seam, looks good. Teensy bit spensive.

  9. This doesn't flow with the sart inc. philosophy, but Zara has great slim fit chinos for $40. I can't wax nostalgic about the detailing due to the involvement of a 5 year old in Malaysia and an 8 dollar annual salary...but they sure do fit great!

  14. I like the neat and streamline look created by chinos and i want to get the look but it seems the chino looks expensive though, i am more on the laid back brand and of course always on the hunt for cheap chinos for men.
