Unis S/S 2010

Eunice Lee is one of the few women designing today that actually understands what it means to dress like a man - simple garments, clean lines, minimal layering and functionality.  This understanding comes through in everything she designs and her S/S 2010 collection doesn't fail to impress.  The well edited S/S 2010 collection focuses on muted colors and wearable made in the USA garments.  It's a steady body of work that doesn't bowl you over, but instead transitions smoothly into what you probably already own - a variety of well fitting pieces in the right kind of fabrics.  The standouts in my eyes have to be the selection of lightweight outwear pieces and the washed out pants, which act as a nice foil to all the out of control "go to hell" pieces offered from various other brands this time of year.  As per usual it's a job well done and a job worthy of your hard earned monies.

  1. 3rd pic: Gushing over the chambray short... It's awfully faddy, but I'm a sucker.

6th, 9th, and 10th pics: Pink trousers probably grass stain like no other, but the tab sells me. Two buttons are ideal for closing pants.

  2. Aside from being Made in the USA, how is this any different from J Crew?

  3. Anon- Fit, quality, fabric and construction are superior.

  4. I don't know if its just the Pee-Wee Herman vibe, or what, but the dude looks like a child molester. I abhor violence, but if I saw that guy at my daughter's softball game, I would probably punch his lights out, just on general principles. Pink pants . . .

  6. As is the case with literature : There are so many classic novels to read that if nobody ever wrote another novel, there would still be enough great literature to read, so is the case with classic clothing:
There is no need whatsoever for new designers or new designs. None. Whatsoever.

  8. I think the collection is very good and it looks very nice. "trench jacket" in the first picture looks awsome!

  9. Orthodox Trad- You do realize you just made an endorsement for cultural stagnation, right?

  10. "Doesn't fail to disappoint." But you like it, right?

  11. Looking good in the neighborhood. Like all these but the trench look might be a little too cool for skool.

  12. Nothing manly about this guy. Man = Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Paul Newman, even Clooney . . . but this model isn't even close

  13. Apparently one can type adequately without opposable thumbs. Caps, even.
