Lands End Reds

I'm a pretty big fan of Lands End's tailored fit shirts and have been impressed with the quality and fit you get for the price.  I wasn't aware that Lands End had expanded their tailored fit line to include various other garments ranging from chinos to suits until this morning when I browsed the webstore. I was pleased to find a decent variety of items highlighted by a sweet pair of Nantucket reds.  I can't imagine these pants are slimmed up in the modern sense (they are probably more "straight"), as LE is about as traditional as a brand can get, but if you are looking for a cheap pair of red's they seem like a good deal at $34.50.  If you do have a Sears in your neck of the woods you can always try them on in person which is my recommendation over buying stuff blindly online.  Overall I can imagine these looking real sweet with a moderate roll and your sockless footwear of choice - I'm thinking Weejuns.

  1. Lands End has been on point recently. Keep in mind that Sears doesn't necessarily have every item in stock. However, you can always return any item bought through the internet at any Sears store. This would allow you to buy any number of different items, try them on, and return as necessary. Personally, I haven't tried their pants, but I also love their tailored shirts.

  2. Their shirting is still probably the best price to quality deal you'll get, especially when they go on sale. You just have to be careful of what you choose - avoid the stuff that is too "sheeny."

  3. Wingtip, could you share what you would consider to be sheeny? The wrinkle-free material?

  4. I saw these last week too and dug the price. Not sure if my local LE shop in Sears will carry them, as they typically carry safer colors, but at least I could try on the style for the fit. I've also seen a Nantucket Red in pics for the new Dockers collection, but have yet to see it in stores. Similar price point.

  5. I bought a pair of these earlier and used the code TULIP Pin: 4438 and got free shipping. The total ended up being $29.99–score!

  6. I ordered a pair of the LL Bean Signature nantucket reds and was really surprised to see that the fit was awful. They were WAY too baggy. I was really excited to get them and then massively disappointed. Not even sure who could possibly wear them-- they were ridic. They were absolutely huge, like some kind of raver pants.

    Anyone else tried them on?
