Talk about a blast from the past! Funny how the music I listened to in middle/high school, like so many others, has had such a strong influence on my personal style (ie- ska/soul(mods), reggae/rocksteady (SHARP skins) and punk (no so much punk, other than the general "I don't give a fuck" attitude). I've been seeing a lot of skinhead influence popping up over the winter. The mod look is always relevant (loved the "mod-ern" pics a while ago).
Why recommend Supreme for Hanes when the Hanes t shirt is the same thing? You end up paying for the stamp - are you suggesting that the stamp is aesthetically pleasing? Branding is something I know you (rightly) avoid - you mentioned that in a post on polos. And I know that are sensitive to prices (promoting a WWM jacket but bashing Blackbird for its markup).

ReplyDeleteWhy Supreme for Hanes?
James- No reason at all besides the fact that it came to me when devising this post.
ReplyDeleteThese Long Playing pieces are more mood based than buyer's guides.
