LAS: no you do't need them.....all the beauty of the monk resides in the arrangement of the buckle(s) and the simple vamp area....it doesn't require a lot of fussy detail that competes with the beautiful simplicity of the styling....a simple captoe is all that is required with the double and a plain vamp with the single...contrast this pic with the beautiful and elegant symmetry of the CJ brown double you had up the other day.
Great shoe, but I think the sock choice sells these shoes. The light blue socks against the cream pants sets off the rich tone of the leather. If sock was dark, the shoes would look much less enticing. It's a very, very well composed photo.
Omg.I love it , I just want a pair of those shoes for my birthday, I'll be waiting, hahaha, NO, I THINK that I probably will buy it soon, thanks for posting.
Sweet!
