Ovadia & Sons

Ovadia & Sons is a new company out of New York entering the world of hand tailored suiting.  Started by two brothers whose family have been in the clothing business for 25+ years, Ovadia & Sons is their first foray into menswear and focuses on creating pieces with the best fabrics and manufactures the industry has to offer.  I need to do some more research to find out where the clothing is made exactly, but I do know their ties are made by Drakes of London (shoes are also made in the UK).  Regardless, things looks really good and while O&S calls their collection "cutting edge Americana" I am a tad inclined to find reference points in a much more European style of dress.  Anyhow, be on the lookout for their S/S 2011 collection, a preview of which can be seen below and some of which was featured in WWD last week.  I should also point out that the zig zag tie is a must own.

  15. Don't forget us "larger guys" too. Well dressed men can wear a 46R or 48R suit and still want to look smashing!

  17. It looks a bit too handmade, and not the good handmade, more like homemade. I don't see any Americana there. It's Italian enough to be Lino. All they need to sell now are some pocket chains.

  25. Ugh. I let someone talk me out of that contrast collar-on-blue gingham in a custom shirt. Now I see how great it would have turned out. Really nice stuff.
