Just grabbed a few pieces at Barneys in SF. Arrived back to the Queen City, it's still too humid. I have no problem with waiting until fall.
The whole brand is on point really. Just received there catalog in the mail and was pretty impressed with the looks and the context of the collection including Gant Rugger. I hope they do a flagship on the West Coast someday.
It's so refreshing to finally hear some new Brand New.
Paul- That's not Brand New on the soundtrack, but US Royalty whose singer is the bearded chap in the video.
so did those guys run a train on a girl or did she just watch them all bang each other on that motorcycle?
Love the video. I wonder where it was filmed? Looks like New England.
old motorcycles and an ax: it's heritage branding time!
Lawrence - I was joking around. You missed the mark, my friend. Any Brand New fan would recognize Jesse's voice.
Paul- How was I supposed to know you were joking? What does Brand New have to do with anything in this post? Sorry, I was completely lost on your comment so I could only assume you were mistaken. BN is one of my favorite bands ever by the way.
The tweed sport coat looks a little short for my taste, but I like a lot of this stuff. The video kind of makes me look forward to cold weather.
Looks like the track is called Equestrian, and it is indeed the latest from US Royalty. http://www.gant.com/gantrugger/#/adventure-to-cape-cod/There's a link to download the track, but it just goes to their MySpace page... where I don't see a download link for it. Anyone else have any luck?
I really like that burgundy and cream jacket.
"Equestrian" will be available for download soon. The first LP "Mirrors" is coming this Fall, that is the lead single. The "Midsommar" EP is available now on Itunes.
Just looked over a shawl-collar navy cable-knit sweater that isn't in the book. It's very nice, and at less than 200$ cdn, pretty affordable.
Thanks for the info Chris. Good luck with the Fashion's Night Out soirée. (http://jakedavis.typepad.com/jakedavis/2010/08/announcement-fashions-night-out-with-gant-rugger.html) If I lived in Manhattan instead of Lapland, I'd be there. :)
Wow. I've seen this collection a few weeks ago but I can't get over would beautifully executed it is.
