I'm assuming Allen Edmonds is talking about these kinda players as oppose to these, but I guess the shoe in question would work pretty well either way - they're just that nice. Yes, I know longwings get all the love in this little corner of the internet. Yes, we see more longwing makeups than we can shake a stick at. And yes, you probably own enough longwings to last you a lifetime. But for my money it's all about shortwings. I can't say why for sure, that's just how I feel on such matters. The new Player's Shoe from Allen Edmonds takes suede shortwings a level after next level (think Inception). They've got all the colors you could possibly want (besides green, red and some other Duckie Brown territory type ish) and a snazzy "toasted sole edge" - whoever is writing copy for AE deserves a serious raise for that one. There's sand and white suede to help you close out the summer and various darker shades to help you ring in fall. It's more than likely you're gonna want at least three of these. I know I do. Not very often do I scour the vast reaches of the internets looking for promo codes, but I'm making an exception this time around.

Ain't nothing wrong with thems.
ReplyDeletedope - i always get down with AE. they're not always that sleek, but the quality is choice and they're timeless. my pops has a pair park aves from when the first came out like 25 years ago -- been recrafted twice and still look good. i just bought myself a pair and right now im struggling not to drop some coin on those new cap toe boots they just dropped.
ReplyDeleteBuckNasty, what can i say about that jacket that hasnt been said about Afghanistan?
ReplyDeletegreat shoe
Allen Edmonds is a quality shoe. The only complaint I have (which is kinda a big deal) is the toe shape is too pointy for my tastes.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking to add some blue suede to my shoe collection. I like the leather sole on these, but I also like the new McNairy longwings. Then again, I also have plenty of brick soled shoes. decisions decisions...
ReplyDeleteDamnit, with an AE store right across the street from work, this is too tempting. These are pretty sick and a little more stylish than I tend to see or have come to expect from AE...and I like it.
ReplyDeleteNow, only if I could decide between light or dark brown...
A background story on the shoes on AE's blog: http://allenedmondsblog.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteNordstrom also has all the color variations of these in stock, sans the white/cream model.
ReplyDeleteWho posted about the Player's Shoe first, Sart Inc., GQ Eye, or MCHammer via Twitter?
ReplyDeleteI'm getting really fucking sick of looking at this post at the top of Sart Inc. Updated this shit already!
ReplyDeleteI've wanted white suede wingtips ever since I saw a a guy wearing them step out of a Bentley in the middle of the street in DC and leave his car to go into a corner store to buy a drink. True story.
ReplyDeleteAny luck finding a promo code for these yet? Or any other way to get them cheaper?
ReplyDeleteI want a pair in blue and dark brown but can't pay 600$ for these...
Oh, I have to admit that I was lucky. I have a good collection of different sneakers like Nike, Adidas (adidas gazelle), and today I was browsing for getting some more collection ideas and when the post came across to me, I could not but hit on and amazed I discovered myself into your fashion world. You really organized your blog world super beautiful and resourceful. I appreciate your passionate jobs.
