Attn: L.L. Bean Signature Khaki Suit

[Pictured: L.L. Bean Signature Khaki Suit via The Momentum of Failure available 3/15 for $214.]

Will from The Momentum of Failure has gotten his hands on a new picture of the L.L. Bean Signature khaki suit which will be available March 15 when the full collection launches.  By this point you all know about L.L. Bean Signature and how it has the potential to be a real game changer in affordable style.  All that's left is waiting to get a good look at the actual product and getting a handle on price points to see if it will truly make the waves the blogosphere expects it to.  By the looks of the suit and price above we seem to be in good hands and if you're not yet sold on a summer suit you can read my thoughts on the matter here.

[Editor's Note: The suit will be sold as separates. The Jacket is $155 and the pants are $59.]

  3. Can't go wrong for that cheap. If the fit sucks you'll have cash left-over to get it tailored and lets be honest, when does LL Bean make their stuff with bad material?

  5. I am beyond excited about this line. I can't get over the price/value of each piece. Brilliant!

  6. Skeptical of this piece though. The 3 button stance says "cheap 90s suit," especially since it doesn't look like a 3/2 roll.

  9. From what I remember seeing in some older promo shots this suit is a 3/2 roll, but don't quote me on that.

  10. 3/2 roll or not, this seems a little out of character for the line in general, at least to me. A suit from LL Bean? Just seems a little odd.

Also, I'm troubled by the fit. What with all the info flying about the interwebs these days about the virtues of a more fitted armscye, these seem troublingly low, sharply pulling the body of the jacket as the model extends his arms. It just lends more credence to the "cheap 90's suit" character that was mentioned above. That, among other things, such as what appears to be "nothing special" detailing, give me a pretty lukewarm feeling about at least this particular piece.
