L.L. Bean Signature Footwear and Watches Sneak Peek

If you needed another reason to follow L.L. Bean PR guru Laurie Brooks on Twitter, this picture was posted earlier today in reply to my inquiry regarding the suede blucher moccasins worn in the Gant by Michael Bastian showing.  From the looks of things it seems as if Alex Carleton is also bringing us some fine timepieces and a revamped Ranger moccasin (handsewn baby) as well.

  1. I just got some bluchers this summer. I wonder if they'll make suede camp mocs?

  3. I saw these on twitter as well! I was just about to order a pair of blucher mocs, but I think I'll have to wait until March.

  5. Oh nice, so they ARE reissuing the ranger mocs. Answers this question. Still would love to see it in an 8 in. boot. Someone relay that to Alex Carleton please?

  7. Have I slipped into some time-warped alternate universe? I've got the Bean blucher-like 3-eyelet chukka from college in the late 80's, and 5 or 6 genuine LLBean (made by Hamilton) field watches on ancient 1980's nylon straps in my watch box. Everyone asks me when I'm retiring my "out of style" shoes and getting a "decent" watch. Jokes on them, 'cuz I've already got 90% of the LLBean Signature line already in my closet...oh my oh my oh my!

  9. LAS - They come up on ebay from time to time. Search for LL Bean Field Watch. I have a manual wind LLBean with acrylic crystal made for them by Hamilton that I pretty much wear all the time. I also have 5 quartz LL Bean field watches all with mineral crystals. 3 have crown guards, two do not. One is manufactured by a French watch company with a chinese movement. All the others are Hamiltons. All have the same black face with 12 and 24 hour markings and sword hands. I think the most I paid for any of them was $80 or so.
