Photo Essay: Prison Rodeo

I know I just said I wasn't good at photo essays, hence why I set up the inspiration board, but these are too cool to not share in post form.  It's been a slow day at work and after browsing the Life Magazine Archives for the better part of the day I stumbled upon a bunch of pictures from a 1951 prison rodeo.  If that doesn't get you psyched, there is nothing more I can do for you.  Rowdy, dangerous, and thrilling are all suitable descriptors in this case and the shots are pretty amazing.  The pictures really strike a certain chord and were a great Americana find.  Who's turning these into posters?
