New Epaulet Trousers: A Lesson In Supply And Demand

I was recently talking to a reader about Epaulet's fantastic F/W trousers.  He had seen a killer pair, but didn't pull the trigger initially.  When it came time for him to snatch up some pants they were all sold out.  Epaulet's strong presence in both the blogopshere and on StyleForum pretty much dictates a quick hand if you want to get a hold of their private label gear.  The demand for this stuff outweighs the often limited supply to such an extent that any given item can sell out within days of when it's posted to their shop - you don't need to be an economist to understand how this works.  After seeing their newest crop of trousers I have no doubt that this process is going to continue.  Don't believe me? Check out the fabric and patterns below.  See?  Told ya so.

  3. What's so special about the Epaulet trousers? Those patterns aren't anything new - same ole' thing. Can't see the details to evaluate. Can't tell the fit either.

  4. Epaulet trousers are the best trousers to get because Epaulet pays the bloggers to talk about them. Since bloggers have such a large influence on marketing and deciding on whats hot, you bet all the bloggers are talking about these pants for a reason: Money money money.

  5. Anon @4:33- You're joking right? Your blogger/Epaulet conspiracy theory can't be real can it? I get paid absolutely nothing to talk about Epaulet.

Psyche! I actually get an annual six figure salary! When I dive into my pool of gold coins, jewels and precious medals ala Scrooge McDuck I wear my Epaulet trousers!

  15. These pants were actually too late sixties for my taste--the material was undoubtedly high quality, but the cut was too high waisted and unflattering on my slim figure.

  17. Jeez...what's great about Epaulet trousers, if you like the cut, is that they're USA designed and made, with quality fabrics, for under $200. If you know even the slightest bit about menswear, then you can appreciate this.
