The great thing about Lands End, which we can all agree upon regardless of whether or not you own any of their gear, is the fact that they are always having sales seemingly for no reason other than to save you some much needed cash. Lands End Canvas has a huge sale going on now and the best thing about all of it, in my humble opinion, are the deals you can snag on some Allen Edmonds "strongwings". Normally the MacNeil goes for $325, but they are currently discounted to $260 at LEC's website. On top of this there is an extra 20% off promotion going on right now complete with free shipping. Grand total: $208. Savings of over 100 bones? Not too shabby if you ask me. I'm not sure how many of us absolutely need a new pair of wingtips, but you never know. As you may have expected the brown ones are almost all sold out, but black is fully stocked (sizes 8-13). Black wingtip don't seem to get a lot of love, which is a shame. Not many shoes look better with a business formal getup. If you wear a suit to work it would behoove you to look into this. Happy Thursday.

I'm pretty sure these are the exact model that Christopher Bastin was buried in, after he was exiled out of the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteThe extra 20% wasn't showing up in my order during checkout, so I started an online chat with a Lands' End rep. After a few minutes of no responses, I got an "I'm sorry, but the shoes are not included in this discount." Pretty upsetting and also misleading. I'm going to the phones.
ReplyDeleteis there a 20% off coupon for the other stuff, or is it subtracted automatically?
ReplyDeleteUpdate from previous comment:
ReplyDeleteAfter speaking at length with customer service, they realized that their sales for the shoes are different on the regular Lands' End and Lands' End Canvas websites. They allowed me to place my order with the shoes at $260 and then adjusted it to $208 after I gave them my order number. So the loophole still stands. Might not be for much longer though if they're only now realizing that they're giving these shoes away for $200...
do these run narrow/wide? like a barrie last?
ReplyDeleteAccording to reviews from other website including endless.com, amazon.com, and shoebuy.com. they run pretty true to size.
ReplyDeleteActually if you're gonna go ahead and order these, I'd go a half size down peeps
ReplyDeletewhat's the coupon code for free shipping?
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem with the coupon (CANVASPLUS20, PIN:2050), but got on their chat service, and they hooked me up.
ReplyDeleteMacNeil is great stuff. I prefer to rock the the burgundy shell cordo myself, but black is definitely doable and looks great with a winter weight suit.
ReplyDeleteNovaguy I don't think that brown leather was cordovan... The cordovan MacNeil isn't sold on Lands' End. Regardless, it is still a great buy. I snatched the last brown MacNeil for myself in size 8 this morning.
ReplyDeleteI got my pair!! I had to get black because brown was sold out but that's fine by me!!! At 208.00 with free shipping, you can't lose!!!!!
