They first showed up in Michael's S/S 2011 show and now they are officially available for purchase. Can I level with you for a second? I don't wear flip flop. But that's not to say they don't serve a distinct purpose. If you are hanging out by a large body of water they are sure to come in handy. So, if you are looking for some cool flip flops because you anticipate being near a large body of water sometime in the future, you could do a lot worse than the Havaianas and Michael Bastian collaborative joints. Even better than the actual flip flops themselves, is the below video Havaianas put together with Michael. When the man speaks, I listen. You should too.

ReplyDeleteAnything other than those athletic flip flops that look like they're made of scuba suit scraps. Man feet are hideous enough--shrouding them in those guys are a total lady-boner killer.

Don't wear flip flops unless at the beach or poolside. Espadrilles are a much better alternative. Not feeling those leopard print- a little feminine... not a bad way to make some extra bucks.

Twenty-five years ago nobody wore flip-flops anywhere ever, not even on the beach. So yes, it is possible to live without them. And I do. And I plan to continue a flip-flop-free existence until I die, or wind up incapacitated in a nursing home, and even then I have a "No Flip Flops" clause in my living will.
