Suck On This

I love my OCBD's as much as the next well dressed chap, but there are sweltering days where oxford cloth is probably not your best bet.  Just because the weather dictates putting those wardrobe staples on the backburner does not mean to you need to sacrifice the clean look of your favorite button downs.  Rugby is selling a few seersucker options that are just like your favorite oxford cloth joint, but done up in cool, crisp seersucker cotton.  I particularly dig the white on white seersucker which is much harder to find than one may think.  All your favorite details are present like barrel cuffs, a front breast pocket, locker loop and a 3 button down collar, but the heavier weight cotton making this shirt the perfect summer option to either wear down or class up - with the on point fit you can either tuck it in or let it hang.  Regardless you'll be cooler than a polar bear's toenail.

  2. I've been looking forever for white-on-white seersucker. Great find.

  3. I've got the white on white one, and the blue one... I can vouch for it. Shit is fresh.

  4. Beautiful...I think I'm in love. If I'm a small in Gap shirts, am I a medium in Rugby?

  5. I'm pretty sure a big selling point of oxford cloth is its seasonal versatility (from a utility perspective). I can see seersucker being extremely comfortable during the warmer months, but to sell it based on oxford lack of ability to keep the body cool is a little foolish. These shirts do look great though and I'd love to see how the SS fabric feels in person (and how they compare to the brooks variety).

  6. Anon @3:23- I could care less whether you buy seersucker to compliment your existing collection of oxfords or replace them this time of year. I'm just throwing some options out there.

  10. I do small in Rugby, Gap and J.Crew shirts, and the Rugby definitely fits the best of the three.
