Attn: 25% Off J. Press Ribbon Belts

I get so hung up on watch straps here at Sart Inc that I'm always forgetting to throw up some sweet ribbon belts.  Just like said watch accessories and summer ties for that matter, ribbon belts are a killer way to set off a standard kit.  If you're S/S gear consists primarily of chinos and oxfords you're halfway there, but by throwing on a snazzy belt you can take your fits from good to great - you know, that whole injecting personality in the form of color thing.  When grabbing these colorful prep essentials look no further than the granddaddy of 'em all, J. Press.  They've got truly understated options for all you sartorial sourpusses and bold in your face type shit for the prepstars.  It's a best of both worlds selection and all their ribbon belts are currently 25% off, which means for under 30 smackaroos [Editor's Note: before shipping which is kinda steep] you can stunt all summer long until you're blue in the face, er, waist.

  1. The American Flag colorway has been tempting me for weeks. Just be noted: shipping is $15+ from JPress. Not my idea of cheap.

  2. Do I have to stunt them, or can I just wear them?

I think the square d-rings on the J. Press ones hold better than the o-rings that they used on the ribbon belts that J. Crew used to sell. I think everything is 25% off at Press right now.

  3. Trip - Stunt IN them, not stunt them. And no, you can't considering how white you are, but I'm sure you'll wear them just fine.

  4. I recently picked up one of the belts in your photos. Do you happen to know who makes these for Press? I seem to have an issue with the size of ribbon belts. They are just not quite long enough or way too much extra length. What do you suggest? Would you recommend cutting off the extra material or just letting it hang loose? Thanks in advance.

  5. How do they compare to the quality of other ribbon belts such as those carried by Brooks Brothers?

    I'd keep it.

Eventually even you'll tire of questions like that.

At which point the extra bit may make all the difference.

  8. I own a few belts from Club Monaco that are made with the same material and for me they always come loose. L.A.S. - Check out these links for a couple other belts I've come across.

  10. Hilton- Not sure who makes them and you want to not cut the belt considering you may gain weight in the future. Just wrap or tuck the extra portion.

  11. Hilton -

You're right, these belts are either way too short (M) or way too long (L), like you have to be either Joey Malnourished or Fats von Boombalattenberger. 32" waist? Fuggedaboutit.

But they're nice belts, so worth going long. Beware the Kelly green.
