L.B.M. F/W 2011: The Jackets

Back in March I gave you guys the first look at some F/W 2011 looks from L.B.M. 1911 - one of the most buzzworthy (no Pitchfork) and rising names in menswear right now.  The styling was bold to the point where some of the individual pieces might have been overlooked.  But fear not, my lovely blog reader, as I can finally share with you guys the bread and butter of not only the F/W 2011 collection, but the line itself.  The jackets really do speak for themselves.  And we're talking volumes.  Both the sportcoats and outerwear fall somewhere near perfect - custom fabrics, unconstructed, great styling, etc.  It's more or less internet menswear's wet dream.  Take these in.  Study them.  Love them.  Campaign images coming once it's all digested.  If I've learned anything from my year's on Earth, it's that you gotta pace yourself.

  1. @*#&$% good lord, this is all very good.

Side note, for some reason the color saturation on the click-through images are vastly different then the smaller ones.

  2. I live in Phoenix, AZ...There is no access to LUBIAM within 1000 miles that I'm aware of. They have no web store, I don't know what retailers carry the line. How can I get my hands on some of these?

    Thanks! Love the blog!

  3. In regards to the color, be aware that when you actually get the jacket the colors can look quite different to the photos. What looked dark blue in the photo turned out to be very green when I received mine.

  11. So what do these things cost, does anyone have any idea? I'm drooling over them, but I'm scared to know how much one will set me back.

  13. That last one is pretty sweet.
Hey, I noticed an inconsistency on two DBs buttoning patterns- one of the jackets 'overlapped' to the right and the other one towards the left. Someone close to me recently made the claim that this exact difference usually distinguishes a man's db garment from a woman's. Thoughts?

  15. To Preptile...

Check out the regular Lubiam stuff. More grown-up and more structured and still very well made.
I recently bought a cashmere/silk sportcoat and a pair of linen trousers and they quickly became some of my favorites... and at 90% off it's hard to beat!
