The Designers' Dad

GQ has a pretty timeless slideshow that details the stylish sensibilities of a few designers' dads.  Even more important is the inspiration these men provide on a daily basis for their sons who make a living via clothes.  It's a great little snapshot of what shaped a lot of our favorite guys in menswear and the effortless style of years past.  While this slideshow has been around for a while I think they've added a few new memories this time around, but don't quote me on that.  Regardless, it's perfectly in line with your Pop's own special day this weekend.

Who Is Weston Wells?

I don't know to much about photographer Weston Wells, but I do know that his online portfolio is rife with sartorial inspiration.  Hopefully someone can drop some knowledge and fill me in (I think I recognize some Thom Browne or maybe Black Fleece and EG...). This Guy, This Look

I wrote about this guy back in fall highlighting him as my inspiration for the upcoming season.  Those sentiments still hold true today and I figured I'd give him the redux he so obviously deserves.  I mean, look at this guy - he is killing it like first degree murder.  You won't catch me wearing my sunglasses indoors because I have some semblance of manners, but pretty much everything else is good to go.  Prep, Ivy, jazz, too cool for school, a little something for everyone, whatever - perfect.

Self-Promoter

Work has been kind of crazy today (well actually work AND the Woolrich WM sale on Gilt) so I probably won't get a real post up this afternoon.  My apologies on that, but in the meantime cruise over to "How To Talk To Girls At Parties" for some of my personal favorite visual stimulation.  The inspirtaion board has proven to be a great move as I'm having just as much fun pulling images over there as I do writing posts here at Sart Inc.  I'll check back in later tonight.  Hope everyone is having a good day.
