Here's something light for a Tuesday and the holidays in general - Oi Polloi have introduced some blank greeting cards featuring illustrations of some cultural/style icons. Right now McQueen, Thompson and Nicholson are accounted for thanks to illustrator Ben Lamb who is an extremely talented chap and has collaborated with Oi Polloi before. So, before you start mailing out holiday cheer to all your blogger friends you might want to pick up a few of these. Season's Steezings.

Green With Envy
White bucks, dirty bucks and even blue bucks will play no doubt...but green bucks, I don't even know where to begin. Oi Polloi just got a new pair of Sanders in and despite everything I once held true and self-evident, I am actually really feeling these. Not everyone feels comfortable giving a middle finger to the rules (you should though) and wearing their white bucks year round so this is a great option for those living within the confines of society's sartorial boundaries (though this could be debated as green shoes aren't really within any boundaries I've ever heard of). The best thing about these Sanders bucks (there is a dirty buck as well) is that there is finally a legitimate competitor to current reigning buck champion Mark McNairy. His Red Brick Soul collection are my favorite "shoes" on the planet, but that doesn't mean I don't want options. A new pair of Sanders will run you around $220, which is about 75 bucks cheaper than the McNairy x ACL dirty bucks for comparison.

The Rig Out Issue 2
I'll be the first to admit that I had no idea what The Rig Out was until I saw a post on the magazine over at Drinkin' and Dronin' a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully I am now well informed. The Rig Out is from the minds behind Oi Polloi (and a few other talented cats) and is described as "a fanzine with good pictures of good clothes and other good stuff" and "a guide to style in life...cult classic not best seller." Sounds good to me. Twice as big as Issue 1 and apparently twice as good, Issue 2 looks to beat the sophmore slump in a big way. From what I've seen it looks awesome and should be full of the sartorial inspiration you expect from a high quality publication. Oh yeah, its also like $1.60 or free with orders of $80 and up. No doubt mags like Inventory are crushing it, but you gotta stay diversified, people.

Canadian Sweater Company Brings The Holiday Cheer
The Canadian Sweater Company has been handknitting some of the finest sweaters on the planet since 1977 (how great is the above graphic) in Bristish Colombia. One look at these sweaters and you will be forever jaded, at least in the sweater sense. I have personally never seen such well knit items and these sweaters (cardigans, shawl collar, cowichan, seasonal) redefine the oft used descriptor, "chunky". With every sweater handknit by expert craftsman and containing 100% natural fibers you'll be hardpressed to find a sweater with a longer lifespan. Granted all these wonderful characteristics lend themselves to big boy price points, but it never hurts to own a sweater that will bring just as much holiday cheer to your grandkids. Canadian Sweater Company is currently available for purchase at Oi Polloi. Check out some pics courtesy of C.S.C's catalog...
p.s. If you want to end up looking as cool as this guy you've come to the right place. Gun rack not included with purchase.
