In Bloom

This is one of those Sart Inc posts where I get the opportunity to rehash a bunch of shit and pass it off as a new post!  Too much information?  Okay, just kidding.  I mean, I've talked about JandHP's repurposing cred and actually using up your lapel buttonhole before, but here is the opportunity where I get to Voltron those two into an unstoppable post meant to protect the galaxy.  Right, so JandHP sell wonderful, hand made lapel flowers.  They are cheap, lovely and an accessory that, while overlooked by many, is an absolute must have in my book.  With a ton of colors, sizes and styles, there is absolutely no way you don't find one (or two or three) that fit perfectly into your sportcoat rotation.  You're spending upwards of $500 on that perfect unconstructed joint for S/S so you might as well pull out all the stops as far as I am concerned.  You will surely be the envy of every practical joke playing clown on the block.  And I mean that in a good way.

JandHP F/W 2010

A little while back I introduced you guys to the couple/team behind JandHP, who were offering their own unique take on vintage clothing.  Well, fall is officially here and with that comes new gear.  This time around there's even a vest or two to compliment all the great repurposed tailored goods.  You know that one awesome blazer you might have passed on for whatever reason during your last thrifting excursion?  Imagine that same blazer in a new modern cut and now with elbow patches.  That's JandHP.  They do it all and keep the prices right.  Even if you're just looking for that great new lapel accessory they have you covered.  This gear is the definition of limited, though things are being added this weekend, so hurry up and get it in.

JandHP And The New Vintage

Outside of eBay it can be pretty tough nabbing all those great second hand pieces you often see posted around the blogosphere and various style forums.  JandHP, a brand new webstore, is running with the idea of vintage and adding their own twist on what it means to buy second hand.  A mutual friend hit me with JandHP's interesting backstory - Jonathan, who I can only assume is the "J" in their namesake, used to manage the NYU Rugby store and intern with the accessories division.  With his legit sewing skills he now makes and/or alters all the gear seen on the JandHP webstore.  Not only are these one of a kind pieces insanely affordable, especially for tailored goods, but they fit better than almost anything you are going to get off the rack anywhere else.  Along with the various garments you can pick up some real unique accessories as well as the best selection of vintage kicks I have seen online outside of The Bay.  Like any vintage shop the selection is highly limited so you need to be quick and deadly to snipe some of the better stuff (don't bother with the white bucks seen below as ya boy got those first and foremost).  There has never been a better excuse to get dandy.
